New weekly item. Every week I'm going to highlight stories from across the pond shedding some light on just how bad the British Health care system really is. Before I go in to the current story let me give you a taste of the current state of affairs in the U.K. in regards to their socialized health care system.
- Police, firemen and paramedics refused to go to the aid of an accident victim who was drowning in just 18 inches of water... because they believed it was too dangerous. Link
- An emergency patient died after an ambulance driver diverted to the depot instead of going to hospital — because he had over-run his shift.
- A woman paramedic has been accused of refusing to help a dying mother — because she was afraid to go into a pub alone.
And of course the title of this story. The BBC reports:
An ambulance trust has reviewed its procedures after an obese man died when his stretcher tipped over, the BBC has learned.
Thirty-stone Kenny Williams was being taken to hospital when the accident happened in the street outside his home in Newmarket.
The East of England Ambulance Service has described the issue of overweight patients as a "growing problem".
It has become apparent that the British, especially those in Health and other public services such as Fire and Police have become inept and utterly useless caused in part by the governments insane need to over-regulate everything. When you put this all together with the apparent wussification of the whole country who now has paramedics afraid of a pub??..And a government that cow-tows to Muslims demands. Remember folks, these people are government employees. Their healthcare system is socialized. This is what we can expect to see in the near future should Obamacare become law.
