Update 8:Here's another screenshot of Jared Lee Loughner's now deleted Myspace Page.
Update 9: It's looking like Jared Lee Loughner was sort of a far left communist type. His videos on youtube, coupled with his interesting list of favorite books definitely puts him on the weirdo list.
Books:I had favorite books: Animal Farm, Brave New World, The Wizard Of OZ, Aesop Fables, The Odyssey, Alice Adventures Into Wonderland, Fahrenheit 451, Peter Pan, To Kill A Mockingbird, We The Living, Phantom Toll Booth, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Pulp,Through The Looking Glass, The Communist Manifesto, Siddhartha, The Old Man And The Sea, Gulliver's Travels, Mein Kampf, The Republic, and Meno.
Yeah,I'm going to go ahead and say this clown is a freakshow of epic proportions. Hmmm, this is odd....he seems to have forgotten "Catcher in the Rye." Oh well, I guess he was to busy planning a mass murder at a convenience to store to remember. I would also like to point out that this shooting is going to destroy the credibility of a supermarket that calls itself "Safeway". Gabrielle Giffords wasn't 'safe' at your store, so might I suggest you go ahead and change your name to something a little more appropriate. How about "Shootaway" or "Deathmart". Honestly, I'd totally shop at a place called Deathmart.
I am at least glad that this Jared Lee Loughner was not a right-wing nutbag, this would have been another excuse for extremist Liberals to accuse the Conservative Tea Party of being filled with gun-toting lunatics.
I hope that this kind of tragedy never happens again. Despite the fact that I disagree with many politicians on both sides of the aisle, most of them have never angered me to the point where I would wish them harm, and even if they did, it would never be worth losing my freedom over to take such drastic action against another human being.
His exact motivation was not clear, but a former classmate described Loughner as a pot-smoking loner who had rambling beliefs about the world. Federal law enforcement officials were poring over versions of a MySpace page that belonged to Jared Loughner and over a Youtube video published weeks ago under an account "Classitup10" and linked to him.
The MySpace page, which was removed within minutes of the gunman being identified by officials, included a mysterious "Goodbye friends" message published hours before the shooting and exhorted his friends to "Please don't be mad at me."
In one of several Youtube videos, which featured text against a dark background, Loughner described inventing a new U.S. currency and complained about the illiteracy rate among people living in Giffords' congressional district in Arizona.
"I know who's listening: Government Officials, and the People," Loughner wrote. "Nearly all the people, who don't know this accurate information of a new currency, aren't aware of mind control and brainwash methods. If I have my civil rights, then this message wouldn't have happen (sic)."
