George Phillips Congressional Candidate Speaking at Tea Party Event in Endwell, NY

I had the opportunity recently to hear George Phillips speak at an event at Brothers Two Restaurant in Endwell, NY sponsored by Broome Tea. George was a wonderful speaker and he had many insightful ideas. He exudes confidence when he takes the stage and he seems passionate about his beliefs and tries to capture his audience with his words. George Phillips is running against Maurice Hinchey for Congress of the 22nd district of New York. George is a favorite among the local Tea Parties and as a resident of Endwell he understands the issues facing the people .

George Phillips is also a teacher and has taught at High Schools and colleges, and spent some time teaching children in the inner city school district of Washington, DC. While in DC, he took a position with Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey in 2001, then the Chairman of House Veterans’ Affairs Committee and Vice Chairman of the House International Relations Committee.
George worked on foreign affairs, business, immigration and senior issues for Congressman Smith. He was fortunate to handle part of Smith’s foreign affairs portfolio in the days following the 9/11 terrorists attacks and assisted on several bills that were signed into law, including the Victims of Trafficking Protection Act.

George also teaches Social Studies and Theology classes at his alma mater, Seton Catholic Central. He also teaches government at Broome Community College. Below is the video that was shot of the event so you can see and hear George Phillips for yourself. He has my vote, and if you care about New York, he should have yours to.
