The need to protect our children is something we all think about. When it became clear that we had a problem with child predators and child porn people started taking action. As they should. Within a few years we have reached the point where the justice system is so sick with it's own righteousness that no parent is safe from it's wrath. A couple in Arizona take some photos to be developed at a local Wal-Mart. They are later charged with child pornography and child endangerment. Why? Because they took some of photos of their kids playing in a bathtub.
Now it seems the perversion of justiec is costing at least one service man his freedom..for now. Spec. Billy Miller of Galesburg, Ill is being charged with possession of child pornography and violating an order bannign all troops from having pornography in Afghanistan(I'm sure the rule was initiated so as not to offend Muslims.)
The photos in question were sent to him by his family to ease his home sickness. The photos in question involve a 4 year old relative in a bathing suit.
This type of ridiculous hysteria is now so rampant that people are losing their jobs, their viability in the workplace, some are even committing suicide over the shame of it all. One man accidentally exposed himself coming out of a restroom in a public park. He quickly corrected the oopsy but not before a young girl saw his business. He is now a registered sex offender. The irony is this girl will see many penises in her lifetime and somehow we're convinced catching a glimpse of one at the park will mess her up for life.
The laws now even extend to minors playing doctor with each other.An Example of this is Wendy Whitaker who has been listed as a sex offender for 12 years and could end up losing her house because of something that happened over a decade ago. When she had just turned 17 she performed oral sex on a classmate who was 3 weeks shy of his 16th birthday.
Here's a real winner. A 15 year old girl was arrested on child pornography charges for taking some nude photos..of herself. She could be forced to register as a sex offender. It is by it's very nature impossible for a child to make child pornography. They are the victims and therefore it is the job of the court to prosecute the perpetrator. The child can not be both the victim and the perpetrator.
We are losing our liberties. Good people are going to jail and losing everything because family bath time photos are now considered violent child porn, and children can now be prosecuted under the same laws that were created to protect them. This is the same kind of insanity you might expect from an overzealous prosecutor....maybe someone like...Martha Coakley. Thanks liberals for letting rapists go free and arresting children instead.
