Asshat of the Week #3:Martha Coakley

Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley ...
Martha Coakley who looks like a haggard lesbian rugby player wins the coveted asshat of the week award.(There was no asshat of the week#2 ,I couldn't find one.) This woman is the text book definition of a Liberal lunatic. She supports partial birth abortion. She now denies that she has ever supported it, however an op-ed piece she wrote in 2007 is coming back to bite her in the ass. Marth Coakley Op-Ed piece.  Her zealousness cost Gerald Amirault another three years of his life. Amirault and his mother and his sister were all convicted during the child care abuse hysteria of the 80's and 90's. The evidence was non-existant, the claims outrageous

Children made claims of robots abusing them, a "bad clown" who took the children to a "magic room" for sex play, rape with a 2-foot butcher knife, other acts of sodomy with a "magic wand," naked children tied to trees within view of a highway, and -- standard fare in the child abuse hysteria era -- animal sacrifices.
Human Events

So even after the children were so frantic they accused two people who didn't even exist and one of the therapists helping on the case of raping them it became clear to any reasonable person that these kids were brainwashed by incompetent prosecutors and therapists. The Amiraults were convicted anyways. After 15 years in prison, his sister and mother having been released years before him it was finally his turn. Governor Jane Swift had agreed to clemency for Gerald Amirault citing the lack of evidence and reasonable doubt in the case. Martha Coakley to the rescue! Than district attorney , Coakley lobbied to deny Amiraults release and after much pressure his clemency was denied. Three years later he was finally reunited with his family.

Still not convinced she's a nut job? How about this.

DEMOCRAT COAKLEY UNDER ATTACK – WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Martha Caokley Swift boat
You need to know this: Polls are tightening in Massachusetts, and America’s future hangs on getting Martha Coakley elected to Ted Kennedy’s seat on Jan. 19. Winning this special election means passing health care reform and the rest of President Obama’s agenda.
We need your help today. The special election is only 10 days away. Funds are needed NOW to fight back against swiftboat attacks. Click here to make an immediate donation of $5 or more to the DSCC.
American Future Fund, the guys who brought you the Swift Boat attacks against decorated war veteran John Kerry, are up with a $400,000 buy, smearing Coakley. She’s being outspent, and a new poll shows that the right wing money is doing the trick. Republican Scott Brown is within striking distance.

This is the most asstastical piece of campaign tom-foolery I have ever seen. There is no swiftboat attack Martha. You're just a bitch and nobody likes you. Your politics are bad for this country, bad for Massachusetts, and bad for women whom you claim to care about. What's that Martha?? Ohh Scott Brown supported legislation that denied rape victims emergency contraception? Really? Wrong! The bill made Catholic or faith based medical services exempt from having to provide "the morning after" pill to rape victims who came in to their hospitals. This was to ensure that those institutions did not have to violate their own code of ethics when helping those victims. A 'morning after pill' is not a medical necessity under any circumstances and the pills wouls still be freely available to those women at the many non-faith-based hospitals in the state. Her disingenuous attempt at making Scott Brown look like a monster failed. Even his two daughters furiously defended him with this amazingly haert-felt statement. CORRECTION:
The 2005 amendment that Brown sponsored in the state Senate would have allowed a physician, nurse, or any other employee to deny rape victims an emergency contraceptive if it “conflicts with a sincerely held religious belief.’’ The facility would have had to have someone else who could administer the contraceptive or refer the victim to another facility at no additional cost to the patient.
The amendment, which did not pass, was attached to a bill that he ultimately voted for, which required emergency rooms to provide the contraceptives to rape victims.

"My dad would always stand up for the rights and needs of rape victims, and he’s kind, understanding and he’s a very compassionate father and man," Alya Brown told AP. "Martha Coakely’s new negative ad represents everything that discourages young women from getting involved in politics. And as a young woman, I'm completely offended by that."
Arianna agreed, telling AP, "My dad is a loving man who is a father. He is a husband, he is a soldier and he is a dedicated legislator. He is a man who cares deeply and would do anything for the three woman (in his family) and the other women of this country."

There is no doubt in my mind that Scott Brown is the best candidate for the job. It doesn't take a genius to see that he is genuine, compassionate, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done for Massachusetts.
So if you happen to reside in said state, go out there and vote on January 19th and send Washington a clear message. Enough is enough.
